Me Hearties Yo Ho!

Went to Newport Beach today with my brother to take photos. Started the day by driving on the freeway for about an hour. Parked on Balboa Island and rode the ferry across to Newport Beach (it was my first time on a ferry ^^). Photographed around the peer and the shore for while and then walked to a nearby taco shop for some grub.

Afterwards, we rode the ferry back to Balboa Island to walk around the boutiques. We saw the original Dad’s frozen banana shop and of course we had to eat one! Looking at the toppings we saw one labeled “butter brickle” and had never heard of such thing asked what it was. The lady smiled and said “It’s like toffee bits!” and so I had mine with butter brickle and roasted almonds. The banana was very refreshing and I enjoyed the butter brickle!

We drove out towards Laguna and found a little ocean area and photographed some more there but the tide was high so we had to retreat.

-little dismembered crab claw I found in a hole-

Then we had more food, we grabbed a slice of pizza at Gina’s Pizza and Pasteria before heading home.

If I had my own room

The bedroom, I share with my sister is a small room so I was sitting around thinking
that it’d be fun if I arranged the bedroom as if I had it as my own room. I moved my sister’s bed mattress out along with two wooden dress drawers. Then I moved in a small desk table and decorated and personalized the space. So this is what it came out to be and I had a box of pocky so just played around with it and ate it.

love how pikachu is all pudgy holding a crayon (:

Early Thanksgiving

I had a early thanksgiving celebration at my church yesterday. It was a bountiful and delicious meal like any other thanksgiving feast! There was turkey & ham, mashed potatoes, bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole (I know that it doesn’t sound good but my mom makes it really tasty), gravy, cream of corn, salad and biscuits. Everything was made from scratch except for the stuffing and the biscuits. It’s tradition at our church for each household to make something and bring it.
And of course we had home-made pumpkin pie with whip cream(from scratch) and vanilla bean ice cream! As you can see above, is a photo of it.
Afterwards we headed out to the soccer fields to play soccer(like we do every sunday) and it was even more awesome because we played in the rain! The rain makes you feel even more exhilarating! We played till dinner time, took quick showers back at our own houses(we all live near each other and close to the church) and came back to church for dinner. In which we had kimchii stew, nice and warm!

Getty Museum

Today, I went to the Getty Museum today for free :) because of my art class. My art professor is a gallery designer for the El Camino Gallery so he got connections and we didn’t have to pay for admission or parking! How awesome is that! Although we do have to write a paper on the gallery.

So in the morning I waited for my friends on campus for two hours (we all planned to carpool together). Don’t let the sunlight fool you, my butt was freezing! I got bored waiting so I started photographing my school’s art building and myself.

Around close to 10 o’clock everyone showed up and we headed out. After an hour and a half drive we arrived at the Getty Museum, rode the tram up and met my professor in the main lobby.

After a little time of lecturing he let our class wonder around by ourselves. Two of my friends who carpooled with me had to go back to school for classes so we spent around an hour and had to leave. We only saw like 10% of the gallery! I was so upset ):
